A twelve-year-old spending the summer at his grandparents' coastal village becomes drawn to the mystery of an uncle who vanished from the same house twenty years earlier, and to OЌKALU, the village deity blamed for it. What begins as fear gives way to devotion, until the stories meant to protect him begin to consume him.
